Cascadia is more than a place—it’s a way of being. It’s not a state, but a praxis—the fusion of theory and action, shaping how we live in relationship with land, community, and story. Inspired by Gramsci’s call to challenge dominant narratives and build something new, Cascadian Praxis is about crafting language, ideas, and systems that reflect the deep ecological and cultural connections of this bioregion.

Much of my work has focused on regional food systems—developing short supply chains, strengthening local food storytelling, and building resilience from the ground up. But this is just the beginning. Regenerative forestry, place-based storytelling, health, and healing are all part of this evolving vision.

Language shapes reality. The words we use define our relationships to place and each other. Cascadian Praxis is an invitation to tell new stories, create new systems, and root ourselves in the land we call home.
